The Ocean-rapid affair.

For this exciting collab, we teamed up with Portuguese shaper of NOTHING surfboards.
Off-centered from the hectic Lisbon, he creates a romantic and emotional universe, where boards are the personification of that cosmos, always seeking for different paths and discarding the obvious. The notion of how you want to feel on top of the board guides that search for beauty within movements.

Our main goal is to get those different paths and beauty of movements into rapid surfing while having fun in most kinds of rapids, progressing every day.

The consequence of that is this board model POETRY.

DESCRIPTION

This surfboard just drives. Well-appointed amount of volume, combined with a Low rocker line, almost flat throughout the tail, equals high speed down the line.

That combination of a super low bottom rocker and deck rocker, that defines the foam distribution, is only possible due to a neat little detail on the very end of the tail block.

Bottom contours release the water a bit sooner than expected, balancing the maneuverability of such a low tail rocker. Diamond tails reduce the rail length and, all combined, creates a super responsive board in all conditions.
Full and forgiving rails for high line carves, landing airs and reverses with ease. The wide outline in the center of the board always provide you enough lift trough weaker sections.

TECHNOLOGY

For the construction, we kept digging in research. But no worries, we spare you with all that geek stuff. We found the solution with epoxy resin in combination with Bi-Axial fibers for maximum superior weight-to-strength ratio and flex memory properties. It also creates a parabolic flex pattern that allows the board to deliver more drive, speed and power.
We tested it to the bones at the infamous Eisbach wave in all different conditions, from low to high level and pressure. At the Citywaves and ‘The River Wave’.
We don’t want to spoil too much, but might be your new romance.

Glassing: 4+4/4 oz E-glass. Reinforced rails with bi-axial fibers

Glassing:  6oz E-glass Bottom + 2 x carbon stripes along the length // 4oz E-glass + 150gr/m2 Biaxial cloth + 2 x carbon stripes along the length. Reinforced rails with bi-axial fibers
